Type 90 RC Airsoft Battle Tank

The Type 90 is the main battle tank of the Japanese Ground Self Defense Forces - Japan no longer operates an army but a self-defense force. The JGDSF (Japanese Ground Defense Force) needed a new tank to replace the ageing Type 74. Japan also wanted a tank that was designed almost entirely by Japanese industry. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries was given the task of constructing the Type 90 and the tan entered service in and around 1990.

The Type 90 is very similar to the M1 Abrams in that it's powerplant is capable of producing 1500hp but uses a standard diesel engine to do that. It also uses a composite armor that reduces weight but increases the strength of the armor dramatically. The tank also features a fire control computer that allows it to attack moving targets both at day and at night. The only part of the tank that wasn't built or created totally in Japan was the main gun - a 120mm smooth bore piece manufactured under licence by Rheinmetall of Germany.
